Did you know a US study reported that approximately 90-percent of children in foster care experienced a traumatic event, and almost half experienced four or more types of traumatic events?
Even if you are unaware of the trauma experienced by the children in your care – a trauma informed and healing centered approach to parenting is recommended.
Over the last year, I have been honored to learn from these amazing experts and I am thrilled to share their knowledge with you. Just as they had an incredible impact on the way I approach my work, I believe hearing from these speakers will enrich your experience of and approach to parenting.
These incredible child/youth development and trauma experts and alumnus of care share incredible insight and offer strategies that can help you better support the children in your care who have experienced trauma.
Many of these speakers and other professionals with trauma expertise charge fees from $125-$250 an hour. The value of the time these professionals are sharing with you cannot be overstated. You will receive 4 hours of training during this summit.
We all know we cannot do this alone. These speakers are committed to improving the lives of children and youth involved with the foster care system.
If you are often frustrated by challenging behaviors, trying to figure out why the kids in your care react as they do, or feel isolated in this journey, then you will appreciate the effective strategies and tools these experts offer.
Let our experts by part of your parenting journey. They will provide you with additional tools to Foster Success in your children.
Did you miss the big Fostering Success Summit in February 2019? Many attendees said these sessions addressing trauma were extremely helpful. Others wrote in to say they wished they hadn't missed them.
We heard you and created this one day Mini-Summit as a replay of these valuable and inspiring sessions.
Successfully incorporating these strategies into your parenting style will take some time and effort. Big changes don't happen quickly! And watching all the videos at once and remembering everything is probably not realistic for most of us. I think I have watched them all at least three times already!
With the Fostering Success Mini-Summit Premium Pass, you can have these child/youth development and trauma experts guiding you when you most need it (or when it's convenient for you to sit down and watch).
You can re-watch and learn from these expert sessions more in-depth, at anytime, from anywhere! You will also be able to download Mp3s of the sessions to listen on the go if that fits your schedule better.
You will get 1-Year access to 7 in-depth expert video sessions (4+ hours) with world-class child/development and trauma experts and an alumnus of care. Watch each session from the comfort of your own home and learn a more trauma informed and healing centered approach to parenting children and youth who experienced trauma.
Want to learn on the go? We took each of the 7 expert video sessions, and turned them into audio versions in downloadable MP3 format for your convenience (4+ hours of actionable training), so you can download them on your phone, iPod, iPad or computer and listen to them whenever you want – on your commute, in the car, at the gym, on the go — anytime, anywhere.
Answer 10 "Check your Knowledge" questions after watching the sessions and download your certificate for 4 hours of training. Note: I cannot guarantee all agencies accept this online training for credit, however, I am happy to speak with your agency if they have questions. Email for more info: email@example.com

It’s a fact – many foster parents and caregivers feel overwhelmed (at least some of the time). There are too many sources of information and people willing to offer advice. How can you be sure they have the experience needed to really be able to help?
You may have already tried a lot of things that aren't working OR that works with some of your children but doesn't work with a particular one? The children we care for come from difficult circumstances and it's so important that we keep learning so we have more tools to help them. That’s why I’ve gathered this particular group of child/development and trauma experts in one place, so they can share clear strategies that work. I've learned a ton from them and believe you will too!
Hi, I’m Robin.
I am an expert in the transition to adulthood, an educator, researcher and former foster parent.
I’ve presented in the U.S., Sweden, and Iceland on issues related to foster care and am published in the School Psychology Forum, Children and Youth Services Review, and International Social Work. I recently finished writing a young adult novel about aging out of foster care.
My mission is to work in collaboration with youth and families to help them achieve the highest quality of life possible.
I know how difficult parenting is and it is my greatest hope that the Fostering Success Summit will help you on your journey.
